Tomorrow I head out for our European vacation. We're hitting London and Paris.

This past Friday I purchased a new camera. Well, new to me as it's quite old and quite used. It's a Mamiyaflex C2 which was made in 1958. I ran some film through it Saturday and just finished developing it. The good news is the darn thing works! It's got quite a few quirks to it and it's really easy to expose the same frame of film twice unless you follow the correct routine for advancing the film every time. I managed the screw up three of the 12 frames. The camera also doesn't have a meter on it so I did most of the exposure settings by estimating. I ended up guessing pretty well most of the time. I hope to have some scans of the first roll of film on my site this week.

Also I've updated my Gallery with new photos from the Kung Fu Joe shoot.

I can't hold out any more. I have to put a blog on my site. It's ok though, no stories about how many cheese sandwiches I've eaten recently. I've decided that the blog section can not have entries that contain more than 500 words. I think that’s more than enough space to say things like:

I’m the stills photographer on Kung Fu Joe so that’s keeping me very busy for the next week.

My most recent and most favorite Mac app is Scrivener. It’s the program for containing misc writings that I’ve been dreaming of.
